Mother's Day

Audrey's first Mother's day couldn't have been a better day!  It was so fun to celebrate Mother's Day as a Mom!  Lauren has brought so much joy into our house, we are so lucky to have her, so it was fun to have a day to celebrate the fact that I get to be her Mom.  And I think she gets cuter and cuter!!

We went to Memere's house for brunch, and Lauren got to cuddle with everyone!

Visitors!

We had hoped to update our blog more often, but having fun with Lauren has made our days just fly by and we spend a lot less time on the computer!  And since she started sleeping for 6-10 hours a night, we are too!

We have had lots of visitors over the past couple of months.  Becca and Carolynn came down from San Francisco for a night in early April.  They both had some good cuddle time with Lauren.

Cousin Summer and Aunt Joanne came to visit and also had some snuggles.

Baby Sophia also had fun meeting Lauren.

Aunt Irene and cousin Jackson flew all the way out from New York to meet baby Lauren.

Eytan was in town and also got to meet baby Lauren - he thought she had big feet until he pulled off one of her loose socks.  Then he found out she has little dainty feet!

We've had some other fun visits, but forgot to take out our camera when Gina came from Santa Cruz, the Pasquini family came from San Francisco and Aunt Arlene came over to see Lauren.  We'll have to get pictures next time!

We can't resist taking a zillion pictures of our sweet, happy little girl. Here are a few fun ones:

First Family Trip

We took our first family trip April 1-3 to Los Angeles for Audrey's cousin Thomas' Bar Mitzvah.  It was quite an adventure to pack up all the baby stuff we needed for the weekend away from home.  Lauren did well in the car for our first trip.  She likes to fall asleep in her carseat, and pretty much only woke up when she was hungry.  The 3.5 hour drive down took us close to 6 hours, but we expected it to take a little longer than usual!  Here are some fun pictures from the Bar Mitzvah. All the cousins were glad to meet Lauren. She slept through most of the evening, but we all had a good time!
Cousin Debbie - Thomas' proud Mom.
Thomas was so busy, we didn't get a chance to get a picture with him!  He is so grown up now, and it was wonderful for us to get to be there for such a special occasion.

On the drive home, we had the perfect rest stop at our friends house in Carpenteria.  Sarah and Eyal welcomed Daniel two days before Lauren was born, so it was fun to get to see the babies together.  It was a quick visit, but it was great to see our friends.  They both loved looking up at the lights on the toy.

Lauren had so much fun playing with her new friend that she slept the rest of the car ride home to Atascadero.

More Pictures

We have taken so many pictures over the past several weeks - here are some of our favorites.

Lauren started smiling as she fell asleep from the first couple of weeks.  At around 5 or 6 weeks, she really started smiling, and we have gotten some fun shots of it!

Justin's co-worker Betsy made this adorable duck blanket for Lauren. She looks so tiny laying on it!
Now that Lauren is getting bigger, it's fun to go on more outings.  The Hunters had us over for dinner recently, and Memere was there too!

Andy and Julie laid on the floor with Lauren - she loves to lay on her back and kick, so they all laid in a row.  It's amazing to see how much Andy and Julie have been growing when they are next to baby Lauren.
Auntie Rachel got to have some cuddle time too.

Here are a few glamour shots of our sweet girl as she is in her favorite spot on the floor kicking.

 And sleeping.....
 Just before bath time.
And after bath time in her duckie towel.
Justin's work had a baby shower for us, and thought it would be fun to wait until Lauren arrived.  She was all dressed up with a bow in her hair, and slept through the whole party.  A couple of the ladies there even held her and passed her back and forth, and she stayed asleep the whole time.  Here is a family picture after  the shower.

Auntie Rachel also put together a wonderful shower along with Memere and Great Auntie Arlene. (pictures from that shower will be in the next post!)

March 27th was the 6th anniversary of our first date.  We can't believe how much has happened in the last 6 years.  To celebrate, we dressed Lauren in a cute little outfit, and went to San Luis Obispo for the afternoon. The weather was great so we just walked around and window shopped, and then went to dinner. Here is a cute picture of Lauren with Dad before we left for our outing.
